RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing called on Chief of Army staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi on Thursday.
According to ISPR, matters of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting.

High Commissioner of South Africa to Pakistan Mpendulo Jele also called on Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ in Rawalpindi.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security and Pak-South Africa relations came under discussion.
A day earlier, the Chinese envoy called on Minister of Defence Production Zubaida Jalal and discussed matters related to CPEC and others. The ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s role for the peace and stability in the region.
Talking to Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing, Minister Zubaida Jalal said the China Pakistan Economic Corridor was essential for the development in Balochistan.
Back in the month of December, the Vice Foreign Minister of China, Kong Xuanyou called on COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ.
During the meeting matters of mutual interest, regional security and enhanced bilateral cooperation came under discussion.
The visiting dignitary commended the sacrifices and resilience of the people and armed forces of Pakistan and the role of Pakistan Army in battling the menace of terrorism.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR
), Pakistan carried out training launch of surface to surface ballistic Missile “Nasr” to enhance the operational efficiency of Army Strategic Forces Command besides re-validating the desired technical parameters.
The ISPR stated that the training exercise involved launching of quad salvo for the desired effects.
“Nasr is a high precision, shoot and scoot Weapon System with the ability of in-flight maneuverability. This Weapon System has augmented Full Spectrum Deterrence posture remaining within the precincts of policy of Credible Minimum Deterrence, against prevailing and evolving threat spectrum more effectively including enemy s ballistic missile defence and other Air Defence Systems.”
The launch was witnessed by General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Director General Strategic Plans Division, Commander Army Strategic Forces Command, Chairman NESCOM, senior officers from the Army Strategic Forces Command, scientists and engineers of strategic organizations.
