COAS Gen Raheel Sharif meets PM Nawaz, discusses internal security situation

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has on Friday met with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and discussed internal security situation. During the meeting, tense situation with the Afghanistan and Afghan peace process was discussed. They also agreed to continue cooperation with the Afghan government to stop cross-border terrorism. According to the Prime Minister House spokesman, the leaders also discussed internal security situation, Operation Zarb-e-Azb and Karachi operation. Sources said that the matters regarding the prime minister’s visit to US were also discussed during the meeting.
