COAS Gen Raheel Sharif holds farewell meeting with PM Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has on Monday paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad. During the meeting, matters relating to national security and Operation Zarb-e-Azb came under discussion. COAS Gen Raheel Sharif briefed the prime minister regarding the steps taken during his three year tenure including Operation Zarb-e-Azb and Karachi Operation. “Operation Zarb-e-Azb and Karachi Operation have helped reduce terrorism in the country,” he said. On the occasion, Nawaz Sharif praised General Raheel Sharif for his valuable services rendered as Army Chief and extended his best wishes for his post retirement life and happiness for his family. Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif also paid a farewell call on President Mamnoon Hussain in Islamabad. The President, in his remarks, appreciated the valuable services rendered by General Raheel Sharif for the country.
