RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Thursday sacked several high-ranking army officials, including brigadiers, colonels and lieutenants, over corruption charges. The sacked army officials include Lieutenant-General Obaid, Major-General Ijaz Shahid, Brigadier Haider, Saif, and Asad, have been ordered to return the black money. All privileges of sacked army officials have been withdrawn. 92 News Senior Anchorperson Dr Danish said that the decision to sack army officials was taken during a Corps Commander meeting on April 7. “COAS Gen Raheel had said that the country is facing biggest danger from corruption,” he said. He said that the investigation is underway from seven more key officials.
