COAS General Raheel Sharif visits CMH Sialkot, enquires after civilians injured by Indian firing

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif visited CMH Sialkot to enquire after the civilians injured by the Indian unprovoked firing at the Working Boundary on Friday. He directed the authorities concerned to ensure best possible treatment to the injured. As many as nine people, including a woman, embraced martyrdom, while 46 people, including 24 women and 11 children, have been injured in the firing. Earlier, COAS visited Rangers Headquarters where he was briefed about the latest situation. He appreciated high morale of deployed troops and civilians. He also appreciated Rangers' befitting response to Indian firing and shelling. “India has blatantly violated cease fire along the Working Boundary and Line of Control and crossed all limits to terrorize Pakistan civilian population, disregarding international conventions and norms,” he said. COAS Raheel Sharif said that they could sense definite linkage between terrorism being sponsored by India in various parts of Pakistan and belligerence along LOC and Working Boundary. He said that Indian firing and violation targeting civilians is highly unprofessional, unethical, irresponsible and cowardly act.
