COAS General Raheel Sharif welcomes surrendering Baloch rebels

QUETTA (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has welcomed all those who give up violence and lay down arms, gradually into mainstream on Friday. According to a statement issued by the ISPR, General Raheel Sharif visited Headquarters Southern Command in Quetta and said that all support will be rendered to rehabilitate who layed down arms so that they could lead a peaceful and productive life. Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Nasir Khan Janjua briefed the Army chief on overall security and law and order situation of Balochistan. Director General Inter-Services Intelligence Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar was also present on the occasion. General Raheel commended law enforcement agencies for bringing improvement in law and order situation of the province. General Raheel Sharif said that Balochistan region is a regional hub for energy will only be realized with a collective civil-military approach for its security and development. He assured all support to Provincial government and people of Balochistan in their quest for durable peace, development and prosperity. The COAS appreciated FWO for their untiring efforts in construction of roads network across the provincve.
