COAS meets CJP, gives him Rs 1.0059b cheque donated by Army personnel

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa met Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, has donated one-day salary of officers and jawans of the Pakistan Army to the Dam Fund. According to the ISPR, COAS handed over a cheque of Rs 1.005919 billion as donation by Pakistan Army personnel and its welfare organisations for the Dam Fund. “The Pak Army will continue to contribute towards nation-building as a national institution,” the COAS said. Meanwhile in a declaration by the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the COAS presented a cheque of Rs 1.005919 billion to Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar. With the mega donation from the Pak Army, the amount collected for the dams has reached Rs3.230 billion.
