RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has paid tribute to the martyrs on the successful completion of three years of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad. In a series of tweets, the COAS said: “Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad (RuF) completes three years today. Launched on Feb 22, 2017 across the country to consolidate gains of all past operations, indiscriminately eliminating residual/ latent threat of terrorism, ensuring security of Pakistan’s borders. https://twitter.com/OfficialDGISPR/status/1231113974537695234?s=20 "In this journey from terrorism to tourism, security forces and intelligence agencies backed by the entire nation, achieved unparalleled success at a monumental cost paid in men and material. Tribute to our martyrs, our real heroes, our pride. We also salute our resilient nation in defeating extremists’ ideology and for unflinching support to the armed forces.” He said: “Gains of two decades of the War on Terror shall be consolidated to achieve enduring peace and stability both for Pakistan and the region. The Army is aware and capable of thwarting all threats to security / sovereignty of Pakistan irrespective of the cost. ”
