COAS played important role in ending Pakistan’s diplomatic isolation: Elahi

LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Assembly speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said on Sunday that Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa played an important role in ending Pakistan’s diplomatic isolation. Talking to the journalists, Pervaiz Elahi said that the silent diplomacy of the army chief played pivotal role to make better relation with US including other countries. The Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) leader termed that Gen Bajwa supported Pakistan for maintaining cordial relations with the neighbouring states due to his silent diplomacy. The Punjab Assembly speaker mentioned that Indian is on defensive position in diplomatic war for the first time due to the decision of opening Kartarpur border. Pervaiz Elahi further said that the international visits of the army chief have created a level of mutual trust with the international community. He also said that the efforts of Gen Bajwa for bringing peace in Afghanistan are being recognised across the board. “General Bajwa’s services for the national security and unity will always be remembered,” the PA speaker mentioned.
