RAWALPINDI (92 News) – British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), situation in Afghanistan, issues of expanding bilateral cooperation in various fields, regional security situation and Pakistan's war against the Corona epidemic were discussed during the meeting.

According to ISPR, the two sides agreed to enhance cooperation in the fields of defence, training and counter-terrorism. On the occasion, the Army Chief said that Pakistan would continue its determined efforts for peace and stability in Afghanistan and supported the formation of a consensus government in Afghanistan.

According to ISPR, the meeting expressed commitment to expand bilateral relations, regional security and eradicate the Corona epidemic. The British foreign secretary said that Pakistan played a key role in the situation in Afghanistan. "Pakistan's role in evacuation of citizens from Afghanistans is of significant importance for regional stability. Diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan will be expanded at all levels," he maintained.
