COAS Qamar Bajwa orders troops to provide all-out assistance to quake victims
RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has directed troops stationed at Balochistan to provide all-out assistance to the civil administration in rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts help mitigate difficulties faced by affected population of earthquake hit areas of Balochistan.
At least 20 people were killed and hundreds of others wounded when an earthquake struck Harnai, Balochistan.
Mud houses collapsed, roofs caved in and walls fell. The 5.9-magnitude tremor near a mountainous part of the country jolted many out of their beds. In the early hours of the morning, it damaged scores of buildings and brought crowds out into the streets.
