COAS reaches Bilour's House, expresses grief over death of ANP leader

PESHAWAR (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa reached at Bilour's House on Thursday and offered his condolences with the family of Awami National Party (ANP) slain leader Haroon Bilour. As per details, the COAS visited the Bilour's House after reaching Peshawar. On the occasion, the COAS expressed grief over the death of Haroon Bilour. Earlier, at least 20 people were killed and 62 others were injured as a suicide bomber blew himself up at an election rally of ANP at Yaka Toot area of the city. The blast claimed life of Haroon Bilour, candidate of ANP for PK-78. COAS Bajwa had condemned the suicide blast at an election rally of Awami National Party (ANP) in Peshawar late Tuesday. In a tweet on Wednesday, the ISPR said, “COAS shares grief of Bilour family & ANP on condemnable targeting of Haroon Bilour & victims of heinous terrorist attk. "We are fighting against nexus of inimical forces which aren’t willing to absorb a peaceful and stable pakistan and added that we remain undeterred and shall defeat them, the ISPR said in his tweet. Following the attack, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has postponed election on the provincial assembly seat PK-78. According to ECP, new date for holding election in this constituency will be announced later.
