COAS, Turkish ambassador discuss regional security issues

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul called on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Monday. According to the Inter-Service Public Relation (ISPR), during the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest including regional security issues. Earlier on October 6, Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa received the prime minister at Quetta Air Base. A detailed briefing on security situation of the province, challenges and response was given. The prime minister was also briefed about socio-economic development based Khushal Balochistan Program, security of CPEC projects and progress of fencing along Pak-Afg border. The COAS said: “Having achieved stability in troubled areas of KP, lately our focus has been on Balochistan which is economic future of Pakistan.” Prime Minister Imran Khan acknowledged and appreciated contributions of security forces towards improving peace, stability and socio-economic development of the province.
