COAS, Uzbekistan’s Abdusalom Azizov discuss mutual cooperation
RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chairman Security Services of Uzbekistan Abdusalom Azizov called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor, they discussed defence and security cooperation between the two countries.
They also discussed overall regional situation. They agreed to enhance military level contacts and trainings besides undertaking joint steps for eradication of terrorism.
General Azizov appreciated role and sacrifice of Pakistan Army for achieving peace in the region.
COAS, US President Trump discuss security in region
Earlier, COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa called on US President Donald Trump at White House. According to a statement, they exchanged views on the security in the region.
COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa apprised the US president about successes gained by Pakistan in the war against terrorist.
US President Donald Trump appreciated the role of Pak Army in the war against terrorism.
