ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Rahbar Committee chairman Akram Durrani has said that the options of collective resignations and countrywide shutdown are under consideration. Addressing a press conference after a meeting of the Rahbar Committee on Saturday, he said that the government has created hurdles, but their people are organized. “People are still coming on foot. The injured people are not being admitted to hospital,” he said. Akram Durrani termed the news about marching towards D Chowk premature. Rahbar Committee chairman said that there is no need to contact them if the government does not want to discuss the resignation. “We warn non-political forces not to try to benefit from the current situation,” he said. Nayyar Bukhari said that they will discuss the future strategy and the decision made would be presented before the party leadership. ANP leader Mian Iftikhar asked the government members to speak cautiously and not indulge meaningless criticism. PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal said that the government is playing with the economy of the country. “National, religious and secular parties are on the same page. The PM has waived off the condition of passport for Sikh yatrees. I am worried how Indian nationals can visit Pakistan. The government has become a security risk,” he said. He demanded that the new elections should be held immediately. The meeting reviewed the situation emerging after the sit-in.
