Committee formed on implementation of Article 6, says Marriyum Aurangzeb

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that a committee has been formed on the implementation of the Article 6.

Talking to the media after the cabinet meeting, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the decision of suo motu notice related to the PTI was considered in the meeting. “The resolution was passed on the written verdict of the Supreme Court. The cabinet welcomed the decision of the court. Therefore, a committee has been formed on the implementation of the Article 6.”

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the committee will be headed by Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar. “All political parties will have representation in the committee.”

“Chairman NAB was blackmailed by the Prime Minister's office. The government has also decided to form an inquiry commission on the issue of Tayyaba Gul,” she added.

The minister said that the flood situation across the country was considered in the cabinet meeting. “The cabinet directed the NDMA, the PDMA and the provincial governments to be active. Prayers were offered for the people who died due to the flood and it was directed that relief should be provided to their families as soon as possible after the survey.”

“The efforts of all institutions including Pakistan Army, Police, PDMA and NDMA were appreciated in the flood situation. The Cabinet directed all relief agencies to remain active in the field and provide protection to people's lives and property,” she concluded.
