Pakistan's confirmed coronavirus cases soar to 7,638, death toll at 143

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The total number of coronavirus infection cases has reached 7,638 across the country after 157 new cases were reported during the last 24 hours. According to National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), there are 3,410 cases in Punjab, 2,355 in Sindh, 1,077 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 335 in Balochistan, 163 in Islamabad, 250 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 48 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. So far 1,832 patients of coronavirus have been recovered, while 143 died – Sindh  47, Punjab: 37, KP 50, ICT 1, Balochistan 5 and GB 3). The condition of 41 patients is stated to be critical. As many as 92,584 tests have been conducted since the outbreak of the pandemic. Local transmission is 62 percent and foreign travel 38 percent. The government has made ready 589 hospitals with Covid facilities with 1881 patients admitted across the country, while 540 quarantine facilities have been established with 19,409 people housed in them.
