Confirmed coronavirus cases in Punjab rise to 8,133

LAHORE (92 News) – The total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus has reached 8,133 in Punjab after 491 new cases in the last 24 hours on Tuesday. According to the Primary and Healthcare Department, eight more people have died from the deadly virus during the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 144. “2,680 of the total patients have recovered thus far,” it added. 25 Covid-19 patients are in critical condition, whereas 101897 tests have been conducted to date. On the other hand, the corona patients are increasing continuously as 1,315 coronavirus cases recorded in last 24 hours. According to the National Command and Operation Center, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases across the country jumped to 21,501. There are 8,103 cases in Punjab, 7,882 in Sindh, 3,288 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,321 in Balochistan, 372 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 464 in Islamabad Capital Territory and 71 in Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK). As many as 5,782 patients have so far recovered while the death toll from the virus stands at 486 with 24 new deaths and 1,315 new cases reported during the last 24 hours. On the other hand, 222,404 tests have been conducted since the outbreak of the pandemic, with 9,857 conducted during the last 24 hours.
