Contempt Case: IHC adjourns hearing against Nawaz Sharif till Feb 26

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of contempt of court case against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif till February26. The IHC judge Justice Amir Farooq heard the case against the former premier. During the proceedings, Justice Amir Farooq remarked that a case of same nature was fixed for hearing in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on February 23. He observed that let's wait and see what directions the LHC would give in the case. The court later adjourned the hearing until February 26. The petitioner, Advocate Makhdoom Niaz Inqalabi had prayed the court to ban the transmission of speeches by Nawaz, saying the former PM criticizes the judiciary while addressing the public and media.
