LAHORE (92 News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday ordered Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Ahsan Iqbal to submit complete reply in contempt of court case. A three-member bench headed by Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi heard the case. Once again Ahsan's speech was replayed in the court. Ahsan Iqbal's lawyer requested the court to adjourn the hearing of the case until elections but the court rejected the request. "If you want to take exemption from the personal presence, It can be given because it's your right but the court will decide as per given law. “You went to tell the children about the country’s policy but started talking about judges. Was the ceremony the accurate platform to speak about judiciary?,” Justice Athir Mehmood remarked. “Have you seen how Shehbaz Sharif was crossing road in a foreign country? Now he is receiving the same protocol after returning to Pakistan,” the judge also said. Expressed anger, Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar said "you are repeating again and again that you returned to Pakistan after getting education from abroad. Did anyone write a letter to return Pakistan? Do you want to run this country without any accountability." The petitioner stated that Ahsan Iqbal gave the remark against the court and judges which related to contempt of court. The hearing of the case was adjourned till June 29.
