ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday ordered Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nehal Hashmi to submit a written apology in the court in contempt of court case. A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar was conducting hearing of the contempt of court case against former senator Nehal Hashmi. In today’s proceedings, Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) Vice Chairman Kamran Murtaza said that he won’t defend Hashmi’s remark. The leaders of the lawyer fraternity appealed the court to apologize the former senator. Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Pir Khurshid Kaleem also appeared before the court and said that the one using derogatory language against the judiciary is basically using it against itself. The court then ordered the PML-N leader to submit written apology in the court. The court then adjourned the hearing till April 6. In the previous hearing, the top court had rejected unconditional apology of the PML-N leader and lawyers to give their remarks in this regard.
