Contempt case: Talal Chaudhry's indictment delayed for a day

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of contempt court case against Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry till tomorrow (Thursday). A three-member bench of the top court headed by Justice Ijazul Ahsan heard the case against the state minister. In today’s proceedings, Kamran Murtaza, the counsel of Talal Chaudhry appealed the court to listen him before framing charges as he wanted to put forward some court judgements to which Justice Ijaz Afzal remarked that the court cannot delay the case. The court handed over the copy of charge sheet to Talal Chaudhry and deferred his indictment for a day. The court adjourned the hearing till tomorrow (Thursday).
