ECP puts off contempt of court case against Imran Khan until Sep 20

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has on Monday adjourned hearing of contempt of court case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan until September 20. A five-member bench of the ECP headed by Chief Election Commissioner Justice (r) Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan resumed hearing of the contempt of court case. During the proceedings, Syed Ali Bukhari, counsel of Imran Khan appeared before the tribunal and said that a similar case is being heard in the Islamabad High Court (IHC). The ECP adjourned the hearing until September 20. Imran Khan is accused of holding rally in NA-63 Jehlum and NA-162 Sahiwal despite a ban.
