Convocations of University Medical and Dental College, The University of Faisalabad held

FAISALABAD (92 News) – The sixth convocation of University Medical and Dental College and seventh convocation of The University of Faisalabad were held on Monday.

The University of Faisalabad Patron-in-Chief Mian Muhammad Hanif, 92 News Media Group CEO Mian Muhammad Rasheed and Chairman Board of Governors Mian Muhammad Haider Amin were among the distinguished guests.

Addressing the convocation, Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat said that the private sector is helping the government a lot. "I congratulate the students on fulfillment of their dreams," he said.

The minister said that The University of Faisalabad is filling up the vacuum in the education system.

University of Health Sciences Vice-Chancellor Dr Javed Akram, the president of the convocation, also appreciated the performance of The University of Faisalabad.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Board of Governors Mian Muhammad Haider Amin said that the university is proud of the successful candidates who will render their services in the practical life amicably.

Keeping in view the coronavirus SOPs, the convocation is being held in three parts. In the first session, Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat gave away medals and degrees. Additional Secretary Mohsin Mushtaq Chandana awarded medals and degrees among the students in the second session.

In total, 1,743 students, including females, passing in 2018, 2019 and 2020 were awarded the degrees. Of them, 44 students were awarded gold medals, 61 silver medals and 39 bronze medals.

In the third session on Tuesday, students of Pharmacy, Physical Therapy and other departments will be awarded the degrees.
