Rabita Committee terms Tariq Mir's statement 'continuation of MQM's media trial'

KARACHI (92 News) - Hours after the release of alleged statement of MQM leader Tariq Mir before the London Police on Friday, Muttahida Qaumi Movement's (MQM) Coordination Committee rejected the documents, terming them a continuation of their party's media trial. Speaking at a press conference on Friday night, MQM leaders said that the party is itself investigating into the issue. "MQM's legal team is in the contact with British investigation organizations", it said. Earlier, one of the MQM leaders, Tariq Mir, allegedly disclosed to British police the facts regarding Indian funding to MQM; also alleging that he and senior MQM leaders Altaf Hussain, Muhammed Anwar and Imran Farooq were well aware of Indian agents.
