Cops, women among nine injured in Peshawar blast

PESHAWAR (92 news) – At least nine persons among cops and women were injured at the city’s Karkhano checkpost in Peshawar blast. According to the reports, the nature of the blast which occurred at the Karkhano checkpost was not immediately clear. The sound of the explosion was heard far and wide, causing panic among the people. According to the spokesperson of Hayatabad Medical Complex , nine persons including two personnel and five women injured during the blast. Rescue teams arrived on the spot shortly after the blast to initiate relief operations. Police said the injured have been shifted to Hayatabad Medical Complex for treatment. After the blast, the road linking Jamrud and Peshawar was closed for traffic.
