Corona vaccination of people aged 18, above begun across country

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Pakistan has officially begun administering the coronavirus vaccine to everyone aged 18 and above on Thursday.

The country had faced vaccination hesitancy and shortage of supply but it has now secured above 18 million doses, including donations and purchases from China and allocations from the World Health Organisation.

Registration for all adults opened on May 26. People can register by sending their CNIC number to 1166.

On the other hand, as many as 92 more people died during the third wave of coronavirus across the country during the last 24 hours.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Thursday, overall death toll has reached 21,022. Moreover, 2,028 cases were reported across the country.

During the past 24 hours, 51,523 tests were conducted while the positive cases rate remained at 3.93 percent.

The province-wise cases are: Sindh (320,488), KPK (133,450), Punjab (340,989), Islamabad (81,446), Balochistan (25,370) and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (19,344) and Gilgit Baltistan (5,608).
