Coronavirus cases in Pakistan soar to 15,525, death toll reaches 343

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The total number of coronavirus infection cases in Pakistan has reached 15,525 and death toll soared to 343. According to National Command and Operation Center, these include 5,827 cases in Punjab, 5,291 in Sindh, 2,160 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), 915 in Balochistan, 330 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 279 in Islamabad Capital Territory and 65 in Azad Kashmir. 3,425 patients have so far recovered while the death toll from the virus stands at 327.
Partial lockdown
On the other hand, partial lockdown imposed is continuing across the country as educational institutions, shopping malls, markets, restaurants, and other private business remained closed while inter-provincial and inter-city transport was also suspended. Factories, banks and the financial sector were directed to reduce work hours. The government has barred elder people and children from offering Friday prayers at mosques and issued guidelines for making lines with a specific distance.
