Coronavirus cases in Pakistan soar to 52,437, death toll at 1,101

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – As many as 34 more deaths were reported due to the COVID-19 pandemic across the country during the last 24 hours, increasing the toll to 1,101. According to the data available with the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Saturday, 1,747 more cases were reported and as a result, the total number of cases increased to 52,437. According to the break up, there are 20,883 cases in Sindh, 18,730 in Punjab, 3,198 in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 7,391. The number of coronavirus patients is 171 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 607 in Gilgit-Baltistan. In total, 14,705 tests were conducted during the last 24 hours across the country, increasing the total tests conducted so far to 460,692.
