Coronavirus claims 148 more lives as third wave intensifies across country

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – As many as 148 more people lost their lives during the last 24 hours as the third wave intensified across the country.

According to the data available with the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Wednesday, the death toll increased to 16,600. During the last 24 hours, 5,499 new cases were reported. The positivity rate of the case has reached at 11.62 percent.

During the last 24 hours, 47,301 tests were conducted.

According to the break-up, there are 274,196 cases in Sindh, 108,462 in KPK, 276,535 in Punjab, 70,984 in Islamabad, 21,127 in Balochistan, 15,873 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 5,204 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
