Coronavirus Emergency Relief Ordinance promulgated in Sindh

KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Governor Imran Ismail signed and promulgated the Coronavirus Emergency Relief Ordinance on Friday. According to the new ordinance, a fine up to Rs one million can be imposed on the violation. Under the ordinance, a concession will be given in the WASA bills. Moreover, the rent of shops, houses and offices will be delayed. It will be mandatory for school owners to reduce fees by 20 percent. Besides, the rent of the houses will also be decreased. Similarly, under the corona relief ordinance, it has been mandatory that the private sector will not be able to sack or terminate their employees. In addition, private companies will also be liable to pay salaries to their employees on time.
