KARACHI (92 News) – PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that coronavirus is a big problem and it is not proper time for point-scoring and criticizing the federal government. Addressing a press conference on Thursday, he said that the Sindh government had kept the devotees coming from Iran in quarantine after getting their lists. “We conducted the tests of the people who showed the symptoms of coronavirus,” he said. He advised the federal government to change its mind and assist the provinces to curb coronavirus. “We have to reduce the distance through social links. We all have to care for our health,” he said. The PPP chairman said that coronavirus is a global issue. It is not a common flu. “It can not only affect the elders, but also affect each person,” he said. He said that the developed countries having the best medical system are also worried about it. “A big field hospital will be established in Karachi and we are preparing for it from right now,” he said. Bilawal Bhutto said that the people would have to stay at their homes for the next fortnight. “The Sindh government will provide the ration at the houses of the poor. We will make sure that no daily-wager is unemployed,” he added. He said that economy would be badly affected by coronavirus. “The federal government will have to take solid steps. Billions of rupees will be required after coming out of the threat of coronavirus,” he said. The PPP chairman said that huge investment would have to be made to curb coronavirus. “We can jointly fight against the disease. We will have to self-isolate ourselves,” he added.
