Corruption charges: WAPDA ex-chairman Muzzamil Hussain appears before NAB

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - WAPDA former chairman Muzzamil Hussain who faces the corruption charges appeared before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday.

The NAB officers investigated him for two hours.

Talking to the media after appearing before the NAB, Muzzamil Hussain denied the allegations against him. "The project cost was Rs750 million. How can the corruption of Rs753 million done out of it," he maintained.

He said that the contractors were not made payments before time. "The Tarbela IV extension project was completed before the stipulated time and it earned its cost in a year," he added.

The WAPDA former chairman said that the NAB had verified the complaint it received against him. "There are no political motives behind the case. I replied to the questions put by the NAB. I was given no questionnaire. The issue is clear from me. I will again appear whenever the NAB will summon me," he added.
