Corruption element also found in audio leaks case, says Irfan Qadir

ISLAMAABD (92 News) - Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Accountability Irfan Qadir said that the element of corruption was also found in the audio leaks case.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, he said that the proceedings of the commission were blocked by constituting the bench of their own choice. "Judges can be tried under the NAB law besides the Supreme Judicial Council if there is an element of criminal corruption," he added.

Irfan Qadir said that the country cannot make progress until elimination of corruption. "The incumbent accountability law was formed for those who plundered the national wealth," he added.

He said that further disclosures have been made in the Al-Qadir Trust case. "Transactions worth Rs4.5 billion were made in the accounts of Farah Gogi," he added.
