ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The accountability court (AC) has on Tuesday started freezing the properties of Hassan Nawaz, Hussain Nawaz, sons of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. The AC judge Muhammad Bashir resumed the hearing of three corruption references against Sharif’s sons filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). During the proceedings, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor Afzal Qureshi submitted report regarding the properties Sharif’s sons and their shares in six companies. The court directed the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) to freeze the shares of Sharif’s sons. The court later adjourned the haring until November 14. Earlier on October 9, the accountability court (AC) had declared Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz, sons of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif proclaimed offenders (PO). On October 2, the accountability court issued non-bailable warrants for the arrest of the ex-premier’s sons Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar. The court issued bailable warrants for Maryam Nawaz. Judge Muhammad Bashir had issued directives to arrest and present Hassan, Hussain and Safdar before the court on the next date of hearing. The former premier appeared before the court on October 2 but could not be indicted due to the absence of his family’s members facing the trial along with him.
