Corruption stains can't be washed by speaking English: Hammad Azhar

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar has said that the stains of corruption cannot be washed by speaking English.

Expressing his views in the National Assembly on Friday, he said that they had not come to the power on the basis of 10 or 20 percent. "You are ruling Sindh due to a few landlords but it cannot work for a long period," he maintained.

He said that those who did nothing in their lives inform the government how to run economy. "Sindh would have become California if progress was made on the basis of corruption," he added.

The minister said that they assumed the power when the country was on the verge of bankruptcy. "Today we have US$800 million current account plus," he said.

Hammad Azhar said that today the country had witnessed an increase in the production in cement, urea, vehicles and industry.

He said that Karachi was being provided 550 megawatts of electricity daily.
