Country faces severe political tension and crisis, only people's decision can solve all problems: CJ

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial has said that there is severe political tension and crisis in the country while all problems can only be solved by the decision of the people.

Hearing the pleas against the NAB amendments on Thursday, the chief justice remarked that the present government was established eight months ago.

"The parliament has been deliberately kept incomplete. As a result, the legislation is also becoming controversial"

He remarked that the court does not want to assume the government. "The court has to intervene when a political crisis is born," he maintained.

The chief justice observed that the people want a corruption-free government.
