Country witnesses highest inflation in first six month of PTI govt: Abbasi

BALAKOT (92 News) – Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League N (PML-N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said on Sunday that the country witnessed the highest inflation during the first six months of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government. Addressing a gathering in Mansehra, the PML-N leader said that the development work in the country only done by three-time premier Nawaz Sharif. He also said that the incumbent government increased the highest inflation which example not found in the history of Pakistan. Former premier Abbasi said that the people of Pakistan have now lost hope in the incumbent government to lead the country towards the path of progress and development. Abbasi remarked that the current government was not working for the betterment of the public and instead it halted all the projects which were launched by the PML-N government. He was speaking to the gathering while campaigning in Balakot's constituency for securing maximum possible votes in PK-30 by-election which is scheduled to be held on February 26. The PML-N leader termed that the people of constituency will reject the PTI-led government on Feb 26. On the other hand, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has formulated preparations for the polls and established 188 polling stations where more than 2,000 security personnel including officers of Pakistan Armed forces will be deployed to ensure effective security measures and transparent conduct of polling. Five candidates are contesting for PK-30. The contest is expected between the candidates of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). However, 35 polling stations of Balakot have been declared as sensitive.
