Couple, teenage daughter perish in car-rickshaw collision in Lahore

LAHORE (92 News) - A couple and their daughter were killed while four others including two children suffered injuries in a collision that involved a car and rickshaw near Wateen Chowk in Defence on early Sunday. Witnesses told police that a speeding car struck the rickshaw. The fatal collision left Shaukat Younas and his daughter Rashida, 16, dead on the spot. Younas' wide succumbed to her wounds while on way to hospital. Two women and as many children, who were also riding the rickshaw, also suffered multiple wounds wounds and were shifted to a hospital. Police managed to arrest two vehicle occupiers who belonged to Racecourse area of the provincial metropolis. The suspects identified as Abdur Rehman and Memon Rasheed were handed over to Defence B police for legal formalities.
