Couple killed for honour, buried without funeral

KARACHI (92 News) – A couple was killed on the orders of a Jirga and later buried without funeral in Mominabad area. Abdul Hadi, 24, and 22-year-old girl had tied the knot against the will of their parents. After 12 days, the police got information, exhumed the bodies and shifted them to hospital for autopsy. They also arrested nine accused, while girl’s father and brother are at large. They said that Abdul Hadi was a married person and had three children. The girl was engaged to a relative in her family. Locals told 92 News that girl’s relatives had murdered the couple and took the bodies in a rickshaw for burial.
