Court acquits 11 accused in Sana Cheema murder case

GUJRAT (92 News) – Additional Sessions Judge Ameer Mukhtar Gondal acquitted all 11 accused in the murder case of Sana Cheema, an Italian citizen, on Friday. The accused, including victim’s father Ghulam Mustafa Cheema, uncle Mazhar Cheema and Adnan Cheema, were acquitted. On April 18, 2018, Sana Cheema was allegedly strangled to death. On April 24, case was registered on the complaint of police when the news about her murder circulated in the media. After the exhumation of her body, it was proved that she was strangled to death. The former DPO had disclosed that Sana Cheema was murdered for honour.
