Court confirms PML-N leader Attaullah Tarar’s interim bail in Punjab Assembly riot case

LAHORE (92 News) - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Attaullah Tarar’s interim bail has been confirmed in the Punjab Assembly riot case.

Additional Sessions Judge Lahore Muhammad Yaseen Mohal heard the case. PML-N leaders including Ataullah Tarar, Rana Mashhood, Saif ul Malook, Rukhsana Kausar, Muhammad Mirza Javed, Awais Leghari and others appeared in the court.

During the hearing, the petitioner took a stand that the case was registered to suppress the voice of the opposition. All the members of the assembly are being targeted for political revenge. It is our right to raise our voice in the assembly on wrong action.

Ataullah Tarar took a position that it can be seen in the CCTV footage that I am not a participant in this crime.

The court summoned the CCPO Lahore on the next hearing and asked for an answer regarding the investigation.
