Court extends Abid Boxer’s interim bail till September 4

LAHORE (92 News) – A local court on Thursday extended the interim bail of notorious encounter specialist and former police inspector Abid Boxer till September 4 in different cases. Boxer’s counsel Azar Latif Khan appeared with the accused in Justice Rehmat Ali’s court. During the hearing, Boxer’s counsel told the court that Boxer had been named in ten cases pertaining to kidnapping and attempted murder, and requested the court to extend the bail. Advocate Khan also claimed that the cases against the former inspector were fraudulent. The court ordered Abid boxer to appear before police for investigation. Earlier on July 20, Abid was given interim bail in 10 cases, including two robbery cases and a murder case, after he submitted surety bonds worth Rs100,000 each till August 4.
