RAWALPINDI (92 News) – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Monday issued death warrant of Shafqat Hussain for the sixth time, set for August 4. Shafqat’s execution has been delayed for four times. He murdered a seven-year-old boy after kidnapping him for ransom in 2004. The murder convicts first death warrant was stopped from execution in after human rights activists started a campaign calling for his release as they claimed that Shafqat Hussain was a teenager at the time of the crime. Later on the orders of the Supreme Court, Federal Investigation Agencies (FIA) investigated and stated that that was not the case: he was 24 years old at the time of killing. The death sentence of Shafqat Hussain was halted before by Islamabad High Court (IHC).
