Court orders arrest of SSP Rao Anwaar, others in arson case

KARACHI (92 News) – The additional sessions judge has ordered the arrest of SSP Rao Anwaar, DSP Khalid and others in the Saleem Shahzad arson case on Tuesday. The court expressed indignation at continuous absence of the police officers, which is delaying the case. SSP Rao Anwaar was issued notices several times, but he did not appear in court. The case has been adjourned until November 25. The Landhi police had registered three cases against the DIG East and other officers in 1992.
