Court rejects plea for extension in Fawad Ch's remand, sends him to jail for 14 days

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - A local court rejected the plea for extension in the remand of PTI leader Fawad Chaudhary, sending him to jail for 14 days.

The police produced Fawad Chaudhary in court after expiry of his two-day remand in the care of hurling threats to the Election Commission of Pakistan.

The court also accepted the plea to unlock the handcuff of Fawad Chaudhary in courtroom.

The prosecutor told court that Fawad Chaudhary had tried to create unrest and there is a threat to the life of the workers of the Election Commission of Pakistan.

Fawad Chaudhary told court that he was arrested by the Islamabad police, Lahore police. "My mobile phone is with the police," he added.

Meanwhile, Fawad Chaudhary's wife met him in court.
