KARACHI (92 News) – The Sindh High Court (SHC) has again rejected the government’s plea about the stay order for removing IG Sindh AD Khawaja.

On the other hand, IG AD Khawaja has agreed to relinquish the designation voluntarily. In a petition, he stated that the government is obstructing in work and it is impossible to work under such circumstances.

In his arguments, the AG Sindh stated that the right to appoint heads of four institutions, including DG Rangers and DIG Railways, had been with the Sindh government from 1935 to 71.

He said that the federal government had snatched the power to appoint DG Rangers and DIG Railways and now the power to appoint the IG Sindh was also snatched.

Justice Muneeb Akhtar remarked that good officers work even under bad circumstances.

The Sindh AG will resume his arguments on Thursday.
