Court restores Imran Khan's non-bailable arrest warrants in Toshakhana case

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The sessions court on Monday restored the non-bailable arrest warrants of PTI chairman Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case, rejecting his plea for exemption from appearance.

The court ordered the police to arrest and produce Imran Khan on March 18.

Earlier on Monday, the district and sessions judge rejected Imran Khan's plea for exemption from appearance and issued non-bailable arrest warrants for him in the case pertaining to hurling of threats to a female judge.

The court order to arrest and produce him on March 29. The court ruled that Imran Khan's plea for acquittal in the case will be discussed. Imran Khan's counsel contended that the government was not providing him security. "It is impossible for Imran Khan to appear before court due to threats to his life," they added.

Imran Khan had hurled threats to District and Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry and Islamabad police.
