ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Adnan Khan on Friday upheld the verdict to send Shahbaz Gill to jail, rejecting the police plea seeking his physical remand.

The court announced the reserved verdict.

Earlier, a local court had rejected police request for further extension in the physical remand of Shahbaz Gill and sent him to jail for three days in a case of inciting rebellion in the institutions.

Talking to the media, Shahbaz Gill said that he could not think of issuing statements against the Army. "I was kept in the Kohsar police station and subjected to torture," he said, showing the marks of torture by lifting his shirt from his waist.

The prosecutor stated that there was no media trial of Shahbaz Gill and they were advancing the legal proceedings.
