Court’s decision permitting MQM’s Waseem Akhtar to travel abroad challenged

KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Rangers have on Tuesday filed a petition in the anti-terrorism court against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Waseem Akhtar challenging the court’s decision for granting him permission to travel abroad. In its petition, Rangers said that MQM leader Waseem Akhtar cannot be allowed to go abroad as serious cases against him. Rangers further said in its petition that the MQM leader would runaway if he is allowed to go abroad. The court issued notice to Waseem Akhtar and Prosecutor for June 30.
